We are a proudly Australian-owned family business, supplying Australian-made grain storage and handling solutions to local growers and the wider grain industry.
While our main office is in Wagga Wagga, NSW, the magic happens in house at our facility in Young, NSW, where our team design and manufacture our state-of-the-art handling equipment, using Australian materials.
Way back before Peter Murphy opened Optimum Engineering Solutions in 1996, he'd already gained more than 15 years experience as a mechanical engineer across multiple industries.
Having worked in the industrial steel, brick manufacturing, structural steel and grain and materials handling sectors, Peter brought this wealth of knowledge with him to assist in the design, manufacture and installation of the world's leading grain handling and storage equipment.
In 2019, Joel Murphy became a director of Optimum Grain Silos and Augers. He came to the position with more than 15 years experience working in the agricultural industry, including experience in pre-fabricated and structural steel sheds.
With extensive experience in agronomy, Joel is able to advise clients on the best handling and storage solution for their operation to improve cash-flow and logistics.
We've been building grain silos and handling equipment for local growers for 40 years now, with the first silos ever built by Peter Murphy still standing strong to this day.
It's the combination of strong, Australian, galvanised steel, engineered concrete bases, and mindful design for the Australian climate and landscape, that that keep Cyclone Silos constructed by the Optimum Silos team performing for decades.
